Dear Parents/Carers,
This half term, in geography lessons, we are studying coasts. To enrich our learning, we will be visiting Filey, in North Yorkshire, on Wednesday 3rd June, to study the physical and human features of the town and coastline.
The cost of this visit will be £16.20. This covers the return fare on the coach. Please pay all monies via ParentPay by Thursday 21st May. If you need to pay by cash, please collect a barcoded letter from the school office so that you can pay at one of the local Paypoints. As usual if sufficient voluntary contributions are not received, this visit will have to be cancelled.
It will be a full day trip so we will register early at 8:00 am and depart at 8:10 prompt and be returning to school for approximately 4:30 pm. School uniform will need to be worn and as the children will be outside most of the day, it is essential that they dress appropriately for the weather - your child may need a hat and sun cream as well as a waterproof coat and sensible shoes.
Lunch options are as follows:
*Packed lunch - You can provide your child with a packed lunch, snack(s)and drink(s). Please remember drinks need to be non-fizzy in a resealable plastic bottle. If your child is entitled to free school meals and would like to order a school packed lunch, please indicate on ParentPay.
*A pre-ordered meal from the chip shop:
-Kids Meal to include chips and a fruit shoot/small water. Choose from sausage/chicken nuggets/Mac and cheese bites £5.00. Please indicate on ParentPay when prompted which meal and drink your child would like.
-Small Fish and Chips £7.00 (also with a drink as above)
-Regular (adult-sized) Fish and Chips £10.65
Please pay for the chip shop meal on Parent Pay by Thursday 21st May.
There may be the opportunity to visit a souvenir shop and buy a memento of the day as well as buy an ice-cream . If you wish your child to have some spending money, please can they bring no more than £6.00 in a labelled purse or wallet, for which they will be responsible.
