Welcome to Reignhead Primary School Nursery
As a nursery we offer a variety of 15 hour sessions as well as 30 hour places. Children are offered a choice of the following 15 hour sessions (availability dependent)
- 5 x morning sessions- 5 x afternoon sessions- Monday full day, Tuesday full day and Wednesday am (additional lunch charges)- Wednesday pm, Thursday full day and Friday full day (additional lunch charges)
Our day starts at 8:40am when our door will be open for children to come in until 8:50am. Our day ends at 3:10pm. For children attending our morning sessions, the gate opens at 11:30am for children to be collected. The gate opens at 12:10pm for our afternoon children to join us. For children who attend wrap around sessions, Mrs Hall, our lunch time supervisor, runs a lunch club from 11:30am until 12:10pm - at an additional cost to parents/carers.
We have two groups within the nursery, Rockets and Rainbows. The children work in these groups for focused adult led group times. In the spring and summer terms, the children also work in N1 and N2 groups. N1 children arrive in January and Easter and will spend more than three terms with us in nursery. N2 children will form our next Reception class for the coming September. The children will work in these groups when our N2 children are preparing for transition into Reception. We plan activities in both our inside and outside provision that reflect the current curriculum, our topic ideas and most importantly the interests of our children. In foundation we bake regularly with the children and politely request a donation of £2.50 per term to support this and other science based activities. We also explore our wonderful woodland area every Wednesday morning and Friday afternoon and ask that children keep a pair of wellies in school so we can continue to do this. Our learning outside happens whatever the weather so please ensure children are suitably dressed whether that be sun hats and sun cream or waterproof coats and wellies!
