Spring Census - change of menu this Thursday 15th January12 January 2026 (by admin) |
Dear Parents/Carers,
Spring census day special menu – Thursday 15th January 2026
On Thursday 15th January, the school has to submit its spring census data to the government. This data is used to determine how much funding our school receives for the next financial year. Part of our funding is dependent on the number of free universal infant school meals that are served on the day. We have therefore decided to serve two of our school’s favourite meals this Thursday which we hope will appeal to all our children.
MAIN COURSE
Red: Chicken goujon bites served with potato wedges, peas and carrots
Green: Quorn bites served with potato wedges, peas and carrots
Yellow: Jacket potato (with choice of fillings)
Blue: Sandwich (with a choice of fillings)
DESSERT
Vanilla cookie, yoghurt or fruit
It is extremely important that all children in Reception, Y1, Y2 order a school lunch on Thursday 15th as this will ensure that we receive the maximum funding available. [If a child in Rec, Y1, Y2 does not have a meal on this day the school will receive NO government meal funding for them for the whole year].
If your child has been bringing a packed lunch this is an ideal opportunity to let them try a school meal. However, your child can bring a packed lunch as a backup in case they do not like the dinner provided.
If you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Yours faithfully
Caroline Fairfax
