Children in Need

4 November 2025 (by admin)

4th November 2025

Dear Parents / Carers,

Children in Need is fast approaching and we are really excited to be raising money once again for Pudsey Bear.  As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Children in Need brings the entire nation together to help change the lives of children for the better.

  • We will be holding a non-uniform day on Friday 14th November which has been given the name, ‘Cosy and Comfy!’ Please come to school dressed in your favourite comfortable clothing - even your pyjamas count! This also includes any of the Pudsey clothing that your child may wish to wear. We would be grateful if you could make a contribution of £1.

  • We will also be holding a design a Pudsey Bear outfit competition. If your child would like to take part, they should design their outfit on the given template and return it to school by Thursday 13th November (attaching 50p in the space provided). Winning designs will be selected from each year group in school.

  • We will be helping raise money with bake sales in the hall throughout the week. We will do this during playtime on Tuesday 11th, Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th

We would be very grateful if you could send your child to school on the day stated below with some buns (or similar baked items) so that they can sell them to the rest of the school:

Year 3 and Year 4 - Tuesday

Year 1 and Year 2 - Wednesday

Year 5 and Year 6 - Thursday

Buns will be sold for 20p each – all children will be able to buy a bun on each of the three days. For Reception Class children , parents/carers will be able to purchase one bun per Reception Class child at the end of each day under Reception Class Shelter.

  • Finally, on Friday 14th November, children will be able to buy one of our special Children in Need biscuits/buns for 50p.

Every penny we raise will go to children with real need, right here in the UK and the children will be learning about these children in assemblies and RSHE. Thank you for your continued support,

Mrs Dunn and the Pupil Parliament.
