​We've been so lucky to receive a visit from Pete Murray, author of the amazing Mokee Joe books. We've been so inspired that we've even written our own Mokee Joe stories!

Pete's son, Simon Murray, is also a children's author and illustrator. Simon visited the children in Key Stage 1 and taught them all about his new character, Icky Doodah.

Lots of us enjoyed the day so much that we bought their books to read at home!

As part of their 'Memory Box' topic, the children in Key Stage 1 were lucky to have a visit from Jenny with her History Van. The children learned all about toys in the past and how they are different from the toys children play with today. They also learned some rather wonderful playground games! ​
