We had a visit on 8th March from the Countryside Management Team who came to help the Y2 children make bug hotels.
They used lots of different natural materials to create cosy homes for the little creatures that we have living in our woodland.
The Y6 class made bird boxes earlier this year, and the Countryside Management Team came back to help them fix the boxes to the trees. They look fantastic and provide a safe home for the birds that visit us.
The first group of Y2 children have returned safely from Whirlow this morning. They had a great time and we will upload some photographs of their trip soon. We think there may be some children who actually want to go to bed early tonight!
The second group set off for their Whirlow trip this morning in very wet weather. This hasn't dampened their spirits, and they have arrived safe and well. They are all looking forward to the exciting activities that are planned for the next few days.
All of the children had a fantastic first day yesterday and we have been told that everyone went to bed without any fuss and no tears!
This morning, the children are having a pony ride, followed by a long walk this afternoon. It sounds like they are having a great time and they are loving it.
We are delighted that Reignhead school council have chosen Bluebell Wood to be our nominated charity this year.
Thanks to your fantastic fundraising efforts so far, we have been able to post a cheque for £350 to them.
What a superb effort. Well done everyone!
We would like to invite all parents and carers to our Annual Easter Celebrations at the end of this term. Our Easter Bonnet and Egg Decorating competitions are to be held on the same day but at two separate times as shown below.
We will also be holding a raffle to win an Easter egg and refreshments will be available at both events to help raise money for the children. Refreshments will be served in the dining hall. Please let the school office know if you are willing to help serve.
There will be an opportunity to take photographs of your child at the end of each performance.

A big thank you to everyone who supported our book fair.
It was a huge success and we sold £700 of books.
This means that we can now buy even more new and exciting books for the school

On Friday the 11th March the Year 6 children have the opportunity to be involved in a unique festival at Westfield School – ‘An Outdoor and Adventurous Experience’. The children will be taking part in three exciting different activities: orienteering, problem solving and climbing.
The event will run from 11:00am – 12:30pm, so your children will be registered at Reignhead as normal and will return to school in the afternoon. Your child will need to bring their outdoor PE kit to school and a packed lunch and drink. If your child is entitled to free school meals and would like a packed lunch to be provided by the school, please indicate on the permission slip.

Reignhead is delighted to be entering the Sheffield Young Artists Competition and Exhibition this year.
This is a competition open to all schools in Sheffield, but each school is only able to send a small selection of children's work. There is so much wonderful art work here at Reignhead that it was very difficult to choose which pieces to send, however, we hope you will agree that the chosen pieces are of a very high standard.
The lucky winners will have their work displayed in Sheffield town centre so we're definitely keeping our fingers crossed!
Well done and thank you to Evie, Mitchell, Kuda, Aaron, Yago, Holly, Alfie, Emily, Brandon, Teye, Hayden, Isaac, Owen, Toby and Isobel.
